Amsterdam's first run set to live classical music with Beethoven 5 km (in collab with Indie Runner). Beethoven's iconic Fifth Symphony, performed live while you run straight through the Flevopark. No playlist. No headphones. Real musicians, real sound, with every step you take.

The challenge: the symphony lasts half an hour. Pick your start time, pick your pace, and challenge yourself: can you beat the final chord? Fast runners start late, easy runners start early, and on the final note everyone comes home together. One symphony, one shared finish. Five kilometres where the soundtrack is alive and chasing you.

• You run 5 kilometres, in several laps through the Flevopark Amsterdam

• Beethoven's Fifth performed live by the Grachtenfestival Ensemble 2026

• Speakers along the entire course. You hear every note, wherever you are

• The symphony lasts 30 minutes and you choose your own start time.

• Water and fruit are included

• One goal: finish before the final note sounds

• Listening from the grass or the stands by the stage? Free. Running it? 500 spots. That's it. When they're gone, they're gone.

Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is performed in a bold, unconventional line-up by the Grachtenfestival Ensemble 2026, featuring percussion, accordion, violin, cello, double bass, clarinet and trombone.
