Beethoven 5 km
Listen and run along!
Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony will be performed in Flevopark in a striking arrangement for percussion, accordion, violin, cello, double bass, clarinet, and trombone—the musicians who together form the Grachtenfestival Ensemble 2026. A special arrangement was created for this occasion. Listening in the park is free of charge; those who would like to run along to the music will need a ticket.
Grachtenfestival Ensemble
The Grachtenfestival Ensemble 2026 was formed through an Open Call organised by the Grachtenfestival in collaboration with Amarte. Young musicians were selected to come together this summer and create a new ensemble. The group consists of clarinet, trombone, accordion, percussion, violin, cello, and double bass.
Throughout the festival, the musicians have collaborated on new repertoire and innovative concert formats in unexpected locations. Following this performance, they will reunite later in the festival for a special programme among the carnivorous plants at Pantar, the Tuinderij.
