Arcis Saxophon Quartett
Saxophone quartet brings a swinging program
The Arcis Saxophon Quartett presents a program featuring works by Mellits, Erdenebaatar, O’Halloran, and Piazzolla. The pieces are played in a continuous structure, combining tight rhythms with original arrangements. This creates a program in which various styles and soundscapes stand side by side.
The Quartett is one of the active ensembles in international chamber music practice. The four saxophonists work with their own dramaturgy in which music, lighting, and presentation come together. They commission new works and create arrangements that suit their instrumentation. Characteristic features include their precise interplay and a clear, physical playing style.
