Amelio Trio

Start your day with the Amelio Trio at the Posthoornkerk. Haydn, Ives and Schumann are on the programme. Haydn’s Piano Trio in F major is bright, elegant and full of lively interplay between the instruments. Charles Ives’ Piano Trioshifts the mood with familiar melodies, unexpected turns and striking contrasts, creating music that is both playful and surprising. Schumann’s Piano Trio No. 3 concludes the concert with warm, Romantic music in which piano, violin and cello are in constant dialogue.

Founded in 2012, the Amelio Trio consists of violin, cello and piano. The musicians have performed together since childhood and have developed into a close-knit ensemble known for its refined ensemble playing and precision. They have won prizes at competitions including the ARD International Music Competition and the German Music Competition. For the 2026/27 season, they have been selected as an ECHO Rising Star, leading to a tour of major concert halls across Europe.
