Ali Yarıcı & Linda Lukas

The Stedelijk Museum provides the setting for a special concert by Ali Yarıcı and Linda Lukas. They draw inspiration from greats such as Béla Bartók, Arvo Pärt, and Olivier Messiaen. The result? Original compositions, improvisation, and influences from Estonian and Turkish folk music that fit perfectly within the rich cultures of the museum.

Yarıcı and Lukas originally formed a duo out of a shared love for 20th-century classical music and the improvisation of jazz. Both explore the edges between these two genres in their music. They study jazz at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where guitarist Yarıcı is pursuing his bachelor’s degree and violinist Lukas, after completing her classical bachelor’s, is now following a master’s in the jazz department.

The visit is possible on the day of the concert, both before and after the performance, upon presentation of a valid ticket. Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
