Silver and Garburg have given master classes at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music and the Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes in Israel. During 2011, they are artists in residence at the Australian National Academy of Music. They have been teaching a class for piano duo at Hanover’s Hochschule für Musik und Theater since October 2001. Sivan and Gil studied with Arie Vardi at the Rubin Music Academy of Music at Tel Aviv University and later passed their soloist exam at Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hanover, Germany. They have won first prizes in more than a dozen national and international competitions, both as soloists and as a duo. Sivan and Gil live in Berlin with their son, Itamar.
